Let’s connect!

I’m an instructional designer and learning strategist who’s all about making training accessible, engaging, and actually useful. I’m a lifelong learner and proud learning nerd.

My background spans HR, Operations, and Learning & Development, with experience at global brands like Rolex and Richemont, and nonprofits like Laureus Sport for Good. I’ve seen firsthand how great training can transform people and organizations.

I started Underprop to help mission-driven teams—especially those without full-time learning staff—create powerful learning experiences on any budget.

Right now, I’m leveling up through Harvard’s Learning Design & Technology program, because learning never stops (and I wouldn’t want it to).

Let’s chat and see if we are the right fit.

My Design Process

Building engaging, learner-centered training experiences from consultation to evaluation.

I follow a 5-step process to create impactful learning experiences. Depending on the project, steps may be omitted or adapted to meet your specific needs.

  • We start with a kick-off call to understand your goals, audience, and learning challenges.

    You’ll receive:

    • A summary of findings

    • Recommendations tailored to your needs

    • A design plan and project schedule

  • Next, we dig into the learning needs and define clear goals. This may include stakeholder interviews, learner feedback, or content reviews.

    You’ll get:

    • Identified learning gaps

    • Defined success metrics

    • Aligned learning objectives

  • I’ll build your learning experience, starting with a prototype for early feedback. Early feedback allows for quick adjustments before full development. Once approved, we move into full development.

    You’ll receive:

    • A design brief

    • A small-scale prototype. This could be a storyboard, interactive wireframe, or sample module.

  • Once the final materials are ready, I’ll provide the final files to you.

    You’ll get:

    • All final training materials

    • [Optional] Implementation support

    • [Optional] Pilot testing and feedback gathering

    • 2 rounds of revisions based on early learner feedback

  • We measure effectiveness and identify ways to improve.
    Included:

    • A post-training review and feedback summary

    • [Optional] Ongoing updates and refinements

    • [Optional] Support for future training needs

FAQs

  • A content creator focuses on making engaging materials—videos, blogs, social posts, or courses—often to inform, entertain, or promote something.

A learning/instructional designer takes a more structured approach, designing learning experiences that help people build skills, retain information, and achieve real outcomes.

Big difference? Content creators aim to capture attention, while instructional designers aim to make learning stick.

  • I use a variety of tools to design and develop effective learning experiences. My toolkit includes:

    • Authoring Tools: Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate

    • Learning Management Systems (LMS): Cornerstone onDemand, Moodle, TalentLMS, Thinkific

    • Graphic & Video Design: Canva

    • Collaboration & Project Management: Asana, Google Workspace, Milanote

    • Prototyping & Wireframing: Canva, Milanote

I’m always happy to learn about new tools and up for the challenge of adapting to different platforms based on your project’s needs.

  • Yes, Underprop is a single proprietorship, and I handle all aspects of instructional design personally. This means you’ll always work directly with me, ensuring a consistent and personalized experience. However, if a project requires specialized expertise—such as advanced graphic design or video production—I may collaborate with trusted professionals to deliver the best results.

  • The timeline depends on the scope and complexity of your project. Some projects may take just a few days, while others can take several weeks. During our initial consultation, we’ll discuss your needs, set realistic deadlines, and establish clear expectations. Throughout the process, I’ll keep you informed with regular updates and check-ins to ensure everything stays on track.
