Project Spotlight:

A Story Designed to Be Experienced.

Some stories aren’t meant to be read—they’re meant to be felt, explored, and discovered.

This scrollable experience transforms a case study into an immersive narrative that teaches through design. From structure to interactivity, this piece demonstrates how layered storytelling can turn learning into something personal and powerful.

  • Many people are unaware of the vital role immigration plays in revitalizing American communities. Traditional resources often present the facts without context or connection, making it hard for learners to grasp the real human and economic impact. There was a need for a learning experience that made this story personal, emotional, and memorable.

  • I designed a scrollable, immersive narrative that teaches through design. Using the real-life story of Utica, NY as a case study, I layered visuals, text, and interactivity to create a learning journey that unfolds gradually—inviting curiosity and emotional connection. The structure draws from interactive journalism and place-based storytelling, emphasizing exploration over instruction.

  • Their Stories, Our Stories is an interactive digital case study that blends layered storytelling, embedded media, and strategic pacing. Rather than presenting facts in isolation, it invites discovery—connecting learners to the people, places, and policies behind Utica’s renewal. This approach turns abstract data into a meaningful, memorable experience.

Digital Learning Solutions

Mobile Learning Experience

Challenge
An art museum wanted to deepen visitor engagement with Amy Sherald’s iconic portrait of First Lady Michelle Obama. They needed a digital learning tool that would be accessible, engaging, and meaningful for audiences of all ages — without requiring additional staff facilitation.

  • I designed and developed a self-guided digital learning experience that:

    • Explores the artwork’s themes, symbolism, and historical context

    • Uses inclusive, conversational language to connect with diverse audiences

    • Curates supporting materials to encourage further learning and reflection

    • Is optimized for mobile use and accessible via a QR code in-gallery

  • The final product is a dynamic, mobile-friendly digital resource that enriches the visitor experience. It offers:

    • Clear sections that scaffold learning and encourage exploration

    • Interactive elements to promote deeper engagement with the portrait

    • A flexible format that can be embedded into museum signage, websites, or educational programming

  • Museum visitors (families, students, casual learners, and art enthusiasts)

Includes big ideas, enduring understanding, and essential questions. Also lists listening comprehension and discussion questions for assignment resources.

Online Course

Challenge
A startup specializing in online education resources wanted to create an engaging online lesson for middle school students (Grades 6-8) and their teachers. The lesson, based on an NPR segment, required thoughtful instructional design to ensure accessibility, engagement, and meaningful classroom discussion. This project was a collaborative effort, bringing together a team of instructional designers to develop a well-structured and effective learning experience.

  • As part of a team, we developed a detailed storyboard that structured the lesson to maximize student engagement and teacher usability. The lesson includes:

    • A teacher’s guide for seamless classroom implementation.

    • Listening comprehension questions to reinforce key takeaways.

    • Discussion prompts to encourage critical thinking and classroom dialogue.

    • Additional resources to extend learning beyond the lesson.

  • An interactive online lesson designed to support both teachers and students, fostering engagement with real-world content. The lesson is set to be published in 2025.

E-Learning

Challenge
Travelers and educators wanted to explore Bosnia’s rich cultural and historical landscape, but most resources were inaccessible, overly academic, or lacked context. They needed an engaging, self-guided learning experience that could unpack the region’s complexity without requiring formal instruction.

  • I designed an interactive digital course using Articulate Rise to present history, geography, and cultural practices through multimedia, storytelling, and self-paced learning.

  • This concept project simulates an online learning experience tailored for tourists, students, and curious learners preparing to visit or study the region. It models how rich cultural narratives can be delivered through digital learning design.

  • Tourists, students, and cultural educators.

Workshops & Trainings

Online Workshop Presentation

Challenge
A continuing education provider needed to improve an online workshop presentation for medical professionals. The existing PowerPoint lacked clarity, engagement, and effective instructional design. The task was to audit the content and recommend strategic improvements to enhance learning and retention.

  • We developed a report outlining key enhancements to improve the structure, visual appeal, and overall learner experience. The redesigned slides incorporated:

    • A clearer structure to enhance comprehension and logical flow.

    • Visual elements to reinforce key concepts and reduce cognitive load.

    • Adult learning principles to make the content more interactive and impactful.

  • A refreshed, learner-friendly workshop presentation designed to improve engagement, knowledge retention, and application for busy medical professionals.

Customer Service Training

Challenge
A Pilates studio sought to enhance its instructors' customer service and sales skills to create a better client experience. The goal was to provide structured, hands-on training that covered fundamental customer interactions, sales policies, and essential sales techniques.

  • We designed an interactive in-person workshop that included:

    • Two structured modules covering customer service fundamentals and sales techniques.

    • Mini lectures to introduce key concepts.

    • Role-playing activities and group exercises to reinforce real-world application.

    • A trainer workbook with detailed guidance for facilitating the workshop.

    • Participant workbooks aligned with the training, featuring dedicated space for notes and reflections.

  • A comprehensive, hands-on training program that equipped Pilates instructors with practical customer service and sales skills, ensuring a more confident and client-focused approach in their studios.
