Bringing clarity and direction to what you already have

Before you fix anything, you need to know what's actually broken. The Underprop Learning Ecosystem Audit is a structured review of your training ecosystem, examining it from every angle so you know exactly where learning breaks down, what's getting in the way, and where to focus first.

No guesswork. No jumping to solutions. Just clear answers and a practical path forward.

Why start with an audit

If any of these sound familiar, an audit is where to start:

  • Training results depend on who's delivering it, not what the system produces

  • People are expected to figure it out on their own

  • Expectations are unclear or communicated inconsistently

  • Materials exist but are hard to access

  • You know something isn't working, but you're not sure where to look

What the audit looks at

Every audit is built around the Underprop Learning Ecosystem Framework — a guided review of five interconnected areas that determine whether training works or breaks down.

  • People — Who is responsible for training, and who is receiving it

  • Content — What exists, what's being used, and what's being ignored

  • Timing — When and how often learning happens

  • Systems — The tools, processes, and structures that hold it all together

  • Standards — What learners are supposed to know, do, and become

How it works

The audit is a collaborative process. We work together to get a complete, honest picture of how learning is functioning in your organization, from the people responsible for it to the people receiving it.

  • STEP 1

    Intake conversation.

We start with a brief call to understand your context, your goals, and who should be part of the process.

  • STEP 2

    Interviews.

We conduct structured interviews with the people closest to your training. Depending on your package, this includes your training owner, a people manager or trainer, and optionally one or two employees. Each conversation is 60 minutes and guided by our learning ecosystem framework.

  • STEP 3

    Analysis.

We review everything through the lens of your five ecosystem areas, looking for gaps, misalignments, and opportunities across people, expectations, materials, timing, and systems.

  • STEP 4

    Report and recommendations.

You receive a clear written report with findings, priority gaps, and action items organized into what to address now and what to plan for later.

  • STEP 5

    Readout session.

Full audit clients receive a live session to walk through the findings together and talk through next steps.

Not sure if you’re ready?

Start with the free Learning Ecosystem Questionnaire. It covers the same five areas as the audit and helps you notice where things feel off — on your own terms, at your own pace.

What happens after

The audit is a starting point, not a final destination. Once you have your findings, you'll have a clear picture of where to go next.

Most people choose one of three paths:

→ Take the report and address findings with your own team

→ Partner with Underprop for project-based learning design

→ Continue with ongoing fractional support through the Underprop Partner program

Whatever you decide, you'll leave with the clarity to move forward confidently.
