Many people are unaware of the vital role immigration plays in revitalizing American communities. Traditional resources often present the facts without context or connection, making it hard for learners to grasp the real human and economic impact. There was a need for a learning experience that made this story personal, emotional, and memorable.

I designed a scrollable, immersive narrative that teaches through design. Using the real-life story of Utica, NY as a case study, I layered visuals, text, and interactivity to create a learning journey that unfolds gradually—inviting curiosity and emotional connection. The structure draws from interactive journalism and place-based storytelling, emphasizing exploration over instruction.

Their Stories, Our Stories is an interactive digital case study that blends layered storytelling, embedded media, and strategic pacing. Rather than presenting facts in isolation, it invites discovery—connecting learners to the people, places, and policies behind Utica’s renewal. This approach turns abstract data into a meaningful, memorable experience.

Before anything is designed or built, we examine your learning ecosystem to understand what's working, what's missing, and where to focus. For teams and organizations, this means looking across five areas — People, Expectations, Materials, Timing, and Systems. For coaches, this is a lighter mini audit focused on your program structure and learner experience.

2 - We design for your reality
Not a generic template. Every solution is built around your team, your context, and where you actually are right now. We work with your constraints, not against them.

3 - We build what you actually need
Sometimes that's a system. Sometimes it's a course, a workshop, or a set of training materials. The audit tells us which — so we're never building something you don't need.
